Trust & Safety
Data Safety
Every application page on Authobek carries a Data Safety section. This page explains exactly what that section is, where the information comes from and how far it can be trusted.
It is a developer declaration. The developer completes the Data Safety step during submission, describing the information their application handles. Authobek stores that declaration with the listing and renders it in the same words on the product page, in the developer's dashboard and in the review queue — one declaration, one interpretation, everywhere.
Authobek does not measure app behaviour. Authobek verifies the package (signing, SHA-256 integrity, security scanning) but it does not observe what an application does with data once installed on your device. A Data Safety declaration is the developer's statement, published under their verified identity and their responsibility.
A missing declaration is shown, not hidden. If a developer has not completed the section, the listing says “Data practices not declared” instead of implying the app is safe. Declaring data safety also contributes to the published trust score, so incomplete listings score lower.
The information types a developer declares
For each type below, a listing can show whether it is collected, whether it is shared with anyone else, whether providing it is optional, and why the developer says it is needed.
Reading a listing's summary line
- “No user data collected” — the developer declares that the application collects none of the types above.
- “Collects N data types · not shared” — information is collected but the developer declares it is not shared with other parties.
- “Collects N data types · shares M” — some of the collected information is declared as shared. Open the section to see exactly which types and the stated purpose.
- “Data practices not declared” — nothing has been declared. Treat the application's data handling as unknown.
Two further statements can appear when the developer provides them: encrypted in transit, meaning data is declared to travel over an encrypted connection, and deletion can be requested, meaning the developer offers a way to ask for your data to be deleted. When they are absent, the listing shows nothing rather than assuming an answer.
If a declaration looks wrong
A false or misleading Data Safety declaration is a marketplace violation. Report the application and it enters the same moderation and governance pipeline as any other report; a listing can be suspended or removed as a result.
